| Building a prototype is a major part in getting a
product ready for production. With the prototype you can determine
any modifications that will need to be made before tooling and machines
are setup for production. Here at IT Plastics we can fabricate a
single cavity prototype mold for overmolding your electronic assembly. With this mold you will have the
capability of producing enough parts to perform all your pre production
testing. The prototype mold will also let us test the chosen molding
material, how well it works with the design of the part due to viscosity and
clearance between assembly and cavity. |

| We will gladly work with your design and material. If
you do not have one we will take your electronic assembly and design
around it. Using our molding process you will have hundreds of specialized
molding materials
to choose from to mold your assembly along with our standard molding
materials that we keep in stock. After determining the exact type of
environment your product will live in we can narrow down the choices to a
couple materials. Once we have a material chosen we can move forward with
the fabrication of the prototype mold. |
